10th Anniversary Bash at Pretend City

Pretend City is having a 10thAnniversary/Birthday Bach on Thursday, August 29th.  There will be cake!, lots of games and memories from the last ten years. Children will be able to participate in party hat decorating, face painting, a photo booth, toss game and a group art project. The celebration begins at 10am and goes until 5pm. Crystal Cove is a group of luxury residential developments in the Newport Coast section of  Newport Beach. Crystal Cove is situated on the high bluffs above the Crystal Cove State Park. "A Brief History of the El Toro Air Show: 1950-1997"

 

The Orange County Great Park is hosting a new exhibit on titled; “A Brief History of the El Toro Air Show: 1950-1997.” This exhibit will run from June 2nd through August 18th, 2019. The show is being held in the Palm Court Arts Complex. The exhibit focuses on what began as an opening reception for Armed Forces Day in 1950 and became annual El Toro Air Show. This show will feature the artwork of local artist Paul Gavin. The Orange County Park is located at Sand Canyon and Marine Way in Irvine. The Palm Arts Complex is open Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 4pm and Saturday and Sundays from 10am to 4pm. Crystal Cove is home to luxury real estate and a world class state park. With its high bluff setting, Crystal Cove homes have amazing views. San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary

 

Invite and welcome potential buyers into your home with the wonderful scents of fall such as apple cider and cinnamon or pumpkin. In the kitchen, set out fresh baked pumpkin cupcakes or muffins. Simmer apple cider with cinnamon sticks on the stove, fill a thermos and set out some mugs, for potential buyers to enjoy. Cookies are another tasty treat to leave out in the kitchen. The San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary is presenting a program by Margaret Tapper. This presentation will be held at the historic Irvine Duck Club. Arts Management Certificate at UCI

 

During open houses and home showings play quiet music in the background to set a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Don’t just use any music, try smooth jazz or classical music, this will quietly welcome everyone and not be overwhelming. Enya’s “The First of Autumn” and George Winston’s “Autumn,” are great fall choices.

 

 

The University of California at Irvine is now offering a certificate in Arts Management. The certificate is being offered through the Claire Trevor School of the Arts and the Paul Merage School of Business. The program is perfect for “people who love the arts, work in the arts and want to grow their career in the arts.” The focus of the program is fundraising, decision-making, marketing, finance and leadership.  This online program will begin on Monday, September 25th. Jake Shimabukuro at Irvine Barclay Theatre

33rd Annual Concert on the Green and Fireworks Festival

 

Make potential buyers feel welcomed and invited into your home during showings and open houses. One way to do this is to provide treats and drinks. Try filling the kitchen sink with ice and filling it with bottled water or set out a pitcher of iced tea or lemonade. Add some fresh baked cookies or other summery snacks to the counter tops. Celebrate July 4th with a Concert on the Green and Fireworks at the Irvine High School Stadium. The Irvine Police Association is sponsoring the 33rd Annual Concert on the Green and Fireworks Festival. The festival begins at 3pm. There will be something for everyone with music, kids’ activities, food and fireworks. There will be a raffle with prizes. Live music is being performed by Derek Bordeaux Group.  Food will be available for purchase. The day and evening event will conclude with a fireworks spectacular. UCI Health Anti-Cancer Challenge

 

Summer is wonderful time of year to sell your home. Make your home warm and inviting to potential buyers. Create a welcoming front door area, keep the area clean, and add a seasonal wreath to the door, a colorful pot of blooming plants and new door mat to the area. On the inside, put out some treats for potential buyers. Fill the sink with ice and chill bottled water in it and put out fun summer snacks for potential buyers to refresh themselves while they view your home.

 

The University of California, Irvine is hosting the UCI Health Anti-Cancer Challenge on Saturday and Sunday, June 10th and 11th. The event will be held in the Angel Stadium. Join UCI and ride, run or volunteer for a cancer-free world. The Anti-Cancer Challenge will have a 5k run or walk, bike ride from 10 to 100 miles, stationary bike ride and children’s bike ride. The 5K takes place on the field at Angel Stadium. This fundraiser will benefit cancer research, 100% of the proceeds will go to research being done at the UCI Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.  Angel Stadium is located at 2000 East Gene Autry Way in Anaheim. Irvine is bordered by Santa Ana, Huntington Beach and Costa Mesa. This 66 square mile city was incorporated in 1971.
