Bluewave at U of C's Art Gallery

University of California’s University Art Gallery is has just opened a new exhibit: Bluewave by Lutz Bacher.  This is first large scale multimedia installation in Bacher’s career, produced prior to her passing in May. The exhibit has 100 prints, after the exhibit some of the prints will be housed in the Contemporary Art Center Gallery. Her work can also be seen at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. The exhibit is open Tuesday through Saturday. The exhibit will continue through December 14th, 2019.  This exhibit is open to the public and is free to attend. The University Art Gallery is located 712 Arts Plaza, Irvine. Crystal Cove is situated between the Pacific Ocean and the Pacific Coast Highway, just north of Laguna Beach. Crystal Cove is home to the Crystal Cove State Park with a 1,400 acre marine park, 3.2 miles of coastline and 400 acres of bluffs. Art at City Hall

Irvine City Hall has a rotating art exhibit; Art at City Hall, in the lobby.  The current exhibit is Having Been There. The current exhibit will run from Monday, September 23rdto Friday, October 11th. “Having Been There explores the various reasons – poetic, pragmatic, conscious, and unconscious – that influence the photographs we make, and why some images resonate with us more than others.” All photos used in this exhibit have used Irvine Fine Arts Center lab. City Hall is open from 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Thursday and 8am to 5pm on Friday.  This exhibit is free to view. Irvine City Hall is located at 1 Civic Center Plaza. Crystal Cove is a group of exclusive residential developments situated between the Pacific Ocean and the Pacific Coast Highway, just north of Laguna Beach, in the Newport Coast section of Newport Beach. Diamond and Silk Chit Chat Tour

Artist Statement at the OC Great Park

The OC Great Park is hosting a brand new art exhibit starting on Sunday, September 1stArtist Statement, will feature local, contemporary artists who have worked to change the understanding of traditional mediums including painting, photography, and installations. This exhibit will run through November 10th, 2019. On Sunday, September 1st, the Exhibition Opening will take place between 1 pm and 3 pm. The exhibit will be open Thursdays and Friday from noon to 4pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 4pm. As always, these exhibits offer free admission. 10th Anniversary Bash at Pretend City

Pretend City is having a 10thAnniversary/Birthday Bach on Thursday, August 29th.  There will be cake!, lots of games and memories from the last ten years. Children will be able to participate in party hat decorating, face painting, a photo booth, toss game and a group art project. The celebration begins at 10am and goes until 5pm. "A Brief History of the El Toro Air Show: 1950-1997"

 

The Orange County Great Park is hosting a new exhibit on titled; “A Brief History of the El Toro Air Show: 1950-1997.” This exhibit will run from June 2nd through August 18th, 2019. The show is being held in the Palm Court Arts Complex. The exhibit focuses on what began as an opening reception for Armed Forces Day in 1950 and became annual El Toro Air Show. This show will feature the artwork of local artist Paul Gavin. The Orange County Park is located at Sand Canyon and Marine Way in Irvine. The Palm Arts Complex is open Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 4pm and Saturday and Sundays from 10am to 4pm. Studio H Fine Art is having adult painting classes with Nino Narimanidze from September 27th through November 29th.  Classes meet every Wednesday from 9:30am to 12 noon. San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary

 

Invite and welcome potential buyers into your home with the wonderful scents of fall such as apple cider and cinnamon or pumpkin. In the kitchen, set out fresh baked pumpkin cupcakes or muffins. Arts Management Certificate at UCI

 

During open houses and home showings play quiet music in the background to set a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The University of California at Irvine is now offering a certificate in Arts Management. The certificate is being offered through the Claire Trevor School of the Arts and the Paul Merage School of Business. The program is perfect for “people who love the arts, work in the arts and want to grow their career in the arts.” The focus of the program is fundraising, decision-making, marketing, finance and leadership.  This online program will begin on Monday, September 25th.
