The Airport Area of Irvine includes urban style residential buildings, the business and financial districts. The Airport Area is bordered by the San Diego Creek and San Joaquin Marsh on the east, John Wayne Airport on the northwest, the 405 Freeway on the south and MacArthur Boulevard and Jamboree Road on the north. This area is locally known as the ‘The Downtown.’ There is a mix of mid-rise and high-rise residential buildings in Airport Area.
