Seal Beach is a small beachside community located in Orange County, California. Seal Beach is tucked into the western most corner of Orange County. Seal Beach is bordered by San Pedro Bay on the northwest, Huntington Beach and Huntington Harbour on the southwest, Westminster and Garden Grove on the east, and Los Alamitos on the north. Long Beach in Los Angeles County is just northwest of Seal Beach. Seal Beach is 29 miles from Los Angeles and 102 miles from San Diego. The city encompasses 13.2 square miles. It was incorporated in 1915. In 1915, Seal Beach took its current name, prior the city was called Anaheim Landing and Bay City. The city has a population of approximately 25,000 people and is known as the “Friendly City.”
